The Maharishi School girls’ tennis team rolled again Tuesday evening with a 9-0 win over West Burlington-Notre Dame.

The Pioneers’ No. 1 doubles duo of Angela Sickler and Minna Mohammadi was back together and returned to the court with a usual dominant victory. The pair won 10-1 and each also posted 10-1 victories at No. 1 and No. 2 singles.

“All of our girls are playing great doubles and finishing their points well, but the No. 1 team has been especially dominant and is clearly on top of its game,” said Maharishi School head coach Laurie Eyre. “I really like the way everyone is attacking and putting the ball away.”

Paavani Kar and Minolli Nayagar won 10-2, and Holly Armstrong and Kenzie Wacknov posted a 10-3 win for two more MSAE doubles victories.

In singles, Armstrong won at No. 3, Wacknov at No. 4, Rose Hoffman at No. 5 and Kar at No. 6. Sofia Medvedeva (8-1) and Nayagar (8-0) added JV singles victories. Hathaway and Medvedeva teamed up for a JV doubles victory by a score of 8-1.
