ELDON — Maharishi School’s Essa Johnson continued her big season for the Pioneers and won the long jump event for the third-straight meet with a mark of 15-feet, 1-inch.

Johnson’s season best of 16-feet, 1.5-inches is an MSAE school record.

The Pioneer boys were led by Laser Nite, who medaled in the 400 (55.46) and 800-meter (2:11) races placing second and third, respectively. Also medaling in the 400 was Brian Prather-Huff (3rd, 57.47). Senior Ryan Stakland placed third in the 1600 with a season-best time of 5:13.07.

“We’re excited the results as well as the prospects for conference and district meets next week,” said head coach Joe Verstrepen, who will prepare his team for Monday’s SEISC south division meet at Harmony.
