Flicking violet skies over blue-aways
An old film of people watching people
Wavering in and out of a black and white screen
But I thought I saw you there
Staring out of a stranger's eyes
At the pretty girls
And I wanted you to recognize me
To smile and say hello
But you would not
For your face is merely pasted on a moving canvas
Doing the same thing over and over again
Unable to step outside the walls
Built around you
And I watch this old picture
I watch you from afar
Drifting in thoughts
