Maharishi School of the Age of Enlightenment is now accepting applications for Boarding School for grades 9-12. School Director Dr. Ashley Deans says, "This is a wonderful development for our school and an important step to achieve our goal of bringing enlightened education to America and the world. Our Consciousness-Based education provides the missing elements in education today. The School’s extraordinary success speaks for itself.

The residential experience for Maharishi School boarders is an integral part of the School's program of Consciousness-BasedSM education. This experience provides an opportunity for students to follow a daily routine that cultures maximum personal growth and social development. Students can expect to enjoy rapid growth of higher states of consciousness, improved academic performance, greater mind-body coordination and athletic skills, together with improved social behavior by participating in a Consciousness-Based education community. Rules and procedures are in place to support the most rapid growth of the student, and to nourish the cooperative living between students and with the faculty. Every resident student is expected to know the rules of the community. Special orientation programs take place at the beginning of the school year to acquaint new students with their responsibilities.

Boarding students are encouraged to consider the residence facility and their rooms as their home-away-from-home and take responsibility for both accordingly. This includes helping to maintain common areas, respecting the rights and privacy of others, and enjoy living together within the residential community.

The residential program supports the mission, principles and goals of the School. Specifically it seeks to achieve the following:

  • Culturing the development of consciousness in a safe and healthy environment
  • Provide an atmosphere conducive to study
  • Encourage students to take full advantage of the extracurricular activities offered by the School
  • Encourage growth towards ideal social behavior
  • Support and enrich the values and diverse experiences that residents and faculty bring to the School
  • Establish opportunities for leadership
