Project-Based Learning allows for more time to pursue passions and build a portfolio by having an 80-minute project period each day. Students can select pre-designed projects such as: play production, rocketry, ceramics and kiln building, application prototyping, earth to table (ceramics and cooking), performing arts (choral reading, ensemble acting, mime, musical theater, radio broadcasting, short film), entrepreneurship, fashion design, game show production, music, freelance design, songwriting and music production, film production, and food blog. Students with passions outside these areas are encouraged to propose their own projects.

Marking System: The 4.0 grading system is used for all courses. Academic counselors monitor the academic progress of each student and meet with the faculty to design academic support when needed.
English Language Learning (ELL): The ELL program meets daily for one class period in which students take individualized English Language learning courses that are structured to meet their language needs. Students work at their skill level in reading, writing, speaking and listening. In addition, students take ELL leveled academic courses as needed in American History, American Government, Math, Science, and Literature. ELL course grades reflect that the content has been modified to suit their language levels.
Graduation Requirements include: English 4 years, History/Social Science 3 years, Mathematics 4 years, Science 4 years, Science of Creative Intelligence 4 years, Physical Education/Sport 4 years, Spanish Language 2 years, Computer Science 1 unit, Art 1 unit, Performing Arts 2 units, Electives Projects 8 units, 10 hours of community service per year
Honors Courses: The Honors program provides students with an opportunity to experience greater depth of study and cultivate a deeper level of thinking. Honors courses are offered in each core subject (Science, Math, History and English). Students pursuing an Honors track are required to demonstrate scholarly initiative, problem-solving skills and the ability to delve into the fine details of their chosen topic. With an emphasis on depth of understanding, students gain critical and creative thinking skills that set them apart from their peers.
College Placement: Over 95% of graduates are admitted to top colleges and universities. Recent graduates have been accepted to Brown University, Colgate University, Dartmouth College, Duke University, Harvard University, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, McGill University, New York University, Princeton University, Stanford University, Savannah College of Art & Design, Tisch School of the Arts.
