Maharishi School defeats Harmony 71-56

Maharishi School Varsity team played a terrific game against Harmony on Tuesday night. This avenged an earlier loss to Harmony at the beginning of the season. The pioneers played a strong game on all fronts. They were stingy on defense forcing the Rockets to take shots all night from outside and their usually effective inside game was rendered ineffective against Maharishi School. On Offense the pioneers combined timely outside shooting with strong moves to the basket which left the Rockets out in the cold for most of the game.
Coach Carter was very happy with his teams play and mentioned the outstanding passing by Will Carlisle which often found Noah Loin in position for baskets down under. Carter also praised the on floor leadership of point guard Mullenneaux who kept a cool head all night.

The pioneers were especially strong in the 3rd quarter where they outscored their opponent 22-6. Woody Orne was the top scorer with 18 points, and Armstrong continued his solid play while adding a couple of spectacular lay-ups.

The Pioneers are clearly playing their best basketball of the season which is timely as the post season is only two weeks away.

The next game is Wednesday against Marquette at Marquette.
