Maharishi School defeats Cardinal 74-47

Maharishi School (3-2) evened their conference record to 1-1 with the win over Cardinal.

The Pioneers jumped ahead of Cardinal 21-4 in the first quarter with solid offense and defense. The pioneers had balanced scoring with 4 players in double digits and 9 players scoring overall. The pioneers also had a dominating rebounding game. Leading the way here was Carlisle with 9, Orne and Loin with 7 and Stone with 6 rebounds.

Leading the way was John Armstrong with 16 points followed by Woody Orne with 11. Loin and Mullenneaux tallied 10 each and Carlisle had 9. Closing out the scoring for the pioneers was Stone with 7, Rudney with 5, and Carter with 4. Justine Rocca had his first points as a Varsity player with 2. (first varsity game)

Notes: Cardinal has a young team that is quick but not to tall, but they showed alot of grit in trying to hang in with the more experienced Pioneer team. They used the 3-ball as their main weapon but in the end the pioneers were able to keep them at bay.

Next game is at the Field Housel Friday evening with the F/S playing first at 6:30pm.
