MAHARISHI SCHOOL (Fairfield) 62 - IMS 29.

Maharishi School Girl's Basketball Team (1-0) open the season beating IMS
62 to 29. The Pioneers only led 15 to 6 after 1 period but broke the game
open by half time leading by 18 (35-17) on a 3 point buzzer beater by Grace
Boyle. The final indicates that the pioneers played well at both ends of
the floor holding IMS to 22% shooting for the game. On the offensive end
not only was there balance scoring, the team also combined for 23 rebounds,
16 steals and 13 assists. Overall an impressive showing for an opening

Taylor Ross demonstrated the poise and leadership of a senior with 25
points, 7 steals & 5 assists. Three players had career highs with
Alexandria Kurzen putting in 11 and Grace had 9 points and Divindy Grant
finished with 8 points. Top rebounders were Anna Tarnoff with 8 and Divindy
grabbed 5. Two starters from last year Sofia Iwobi and Amellia Schuldt did not
play as they are still recovering from injuries. Both are expected back by January at the latest.

Maharishi School will next play on December 1st in the first round of the
SuperConference Tournament at Wapello,
