conference game by beating WACO 41-32. Just like last year, the Pioneers
shot 25% in the first half but their defense kept them in the game. Then

points, and then just played ball control the last few minutes.
Three players were the key for the Pioneer victory. Even with WACO
playing a box and one on Taylor Ross, she lead the team in scoring (19 pts)
steals (6) and assists 4! Grace Boyle stepped up again for the short handed
Pioneers by scoring 12 points and hustling for 4 rebounds. A sick Ami
Freeberg got all 6 of points in the 2nd half to spur the 4th quarter rally.
The trio of Divindy Grant, Alexandria Kurzen & Anna Tarnoff combined for 21
rebounds and 6 blocks on the defensive end.
The Pioneers are now off until January 9th when they will travel to
Pekin.
