News from Global Finals- 2002
The Secondary Level Dual DI-lemma team placed 5th at Global Finals, the best showing ever for an Iowa balsa building team.

The Middle Level It's Your Move team placed 6th.

It was very exciting to hear our teams announced and also to see a few of them live over the internet!

At the Secondary Level in the On Holiday challenge, Des Moines East placed 1st and also at the Secondary Level in the StranDId challenge, Harlan High School from Des Moines placed 1st. This is very good for the D.I. program in the state of Iowa. Up until last year when two of our teams placed first and second respectively no team from Iowa had placed that well. We broke that barrier.
