Christopher Hull, Government (1988)

Chris Hull is the chief of staff for U.S. Congressman Steve King of Iowa. Before joining Mr. King, Chris spent more than a decade doing public affairs work, including as Senior Vice President and Campaign Manager, U.S. Public Affairs, at Hill & Knowlton, a global public relations firm. In addition, Chris has served as the Majority Staff Director of the Iowa Senate, a press secretary for a member of the U.S. House Ways and Means Committee, an Assistant to the Director of Communications at a national party committee, and a legislative aide in the U.S. Senate. He also taught classes on politics and policy as an Adjunct Assistant Professor in Georgetown University's Department of Government. Chris graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University in 1992 with a degree in Government. In 2005, he completed a doctoral program with distinction at Georgetown, also in Government. His dissertation on grassroots politics in the U.S. presidential nomination process with a focus on the Iowa Caucuses was nominated for the E. E. Schattschneider Prize, the American Political Science Association’s award for best dissertation of the year in American politics.
