Claire Hoffman, Journalist (1995)

Claire Hoffman is a journalist and author who lives in Los Angeles and Costa Rica. She writes for national magazines, including Rolling Stone, The New Yorker, Condé Nast Portfolio and the Los Angeles Times, covering culture, religion, celebrity, and business. She was formerly a freelance reporter for the New York Times. Claire graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz, received a master’s degree in journalism from Columbia, and also received a master’s degree in religious studies from the University of Chicago. She serves on the board of her family foundation, the Goldhirsh Foundation, as well as the Columbia Journalism School. Claire is finishing work on a book about growing up in Fairfield.
