PLEASE SHOP FOR YOUR SCHOOL SUPPLIES AT
MAHARISHI SCHOOL STORE.
Every attempt is being made to stock the school store with all supplies your
will need for the school year. Items stocked will be based on the required
School Supply List sent to Lower and Middle School students this past
spring, and will be priced competitively with Wal-mart prices.
As the School Store gains popularity, more items will be added on a regular
basis. Your ideas are welcome and can be shared with Store Manager, Julie
Blum. Contact Julie at 472-3757 or by email at

Parents' Memo for August 30, 2002
Genetically Engineered Foods:
When baking for the school--for birthday parties, snacks, bake sales, school
banquets, holidays, etc., please try to use only organic sugar, butter, milk,
juice, cheese, etc. Dairy products need to be organic not only because of
the rBGH, but because of the genetically engineered animal feed and enzymes as
well. Also avoid baking powder--it contains corn starch; and vanilla may
contain corn products used for making alcohol. It's best to avoid "natural
flavors" as they can be animal, vegetable or genetically engineered. We
appreciate your support and cooperation regarding this matter. For further
information, refer to the newsletter of November 2, 2001. You can also
