The boy's Fresh/Soph team raised their record to 6 and 3 with a
convincing 65 to 34 victory over the Central Lee Hawks (4-3). The
Pioneers put in a very solid effort of great shooting and superb
defense as they limited the Hawks to just 13 second half points. The
pioneers were up 25 to 21 at the start of the second half when
Central Lee had two quick baskets to tie the score at 25. However
at that point the pioneers buckled down and with a stifling
half-court press basically closed the Hawks down for the rest of the
game, outscoring them 40 to 9 for the rest of the game.
Carlisle led all scorers with 25 points. John Armstrong and Noah
Loin contributed 12 each, Dillon Rudney had 6, Aron Steinberg had 4,
and Tracy Clark, David Averbach and TJ Smith had 2 each.
