Creating World Peace

Scientific research has established that the group practice of the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi® programs, including Yogic Flying, on a sufficiently large scale (the square root of 1% of a population) is the most powerful peace-creating technology. Until now, the only alternatives have been discussion, negotiation, and peace treaties, none of which have created lasting world peace.

In several published studies from different parts of the world, there was a marked decrease in war deaths and violence in the period that a peace-creating group was practicing the Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs in the vicinity of these conflict areas.

In the year 2000, the Global Country of World Peace was inaugurated by His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi. This is a country without borders for all peace-loving people everywhere. The first goal of the Global Country of World Peace is to create world peace quickly by establishing as many groups of peace-creating experts as possible around the world to create maximum coherence, orderliness, and happiness in collective consciousness.

These groups of peace-creating experts can be formed in any part of society, whether it be in the military, a factory, a school, a university, or even a family meditating together. Everyone can contribute to world peace by creating peace within themselves.

During the periods of three assemblies approaching or exceeding 7,000 experts in the TM-Sidhi program (the square root of one per cent of the world’s population), there was a significant decrease in international conflict worldwide. The largest coherence-creating group in the Western world is at Maharishi University of Management, in Fairfield, Iowa, where two Golden Domes have been specially built for the group practice of these technologies of peace. Some of the high school students at Maharishi School enjoy practicing their Transcendental Meditation and TM-Sidhi programs, including Yogic Flying, with the big groups in these Domes as part of their daily routine.

The students and faculty of Maharishi School are proud to be part of this coherence-creating group and to contribute to this historic endeavor of bringing enlightenment to every individual and invincibility to every nation. This will ensure permanent world peace—the long- sought goal of mankind in every generation.
