STUDENTS WIN AT DESTINATION IMAGINATION STATE COMPETITION
Congratulations to all the students who competed at the Destination Imagination State competition on Monday. Of the nine teams from Maharishi School that competed, five teams placed first, two teams placed second, and one team placed third. The five first-place teams will represent Iowa at the Global Finals in Knoxville, Tennessee, at the end of May.
ART STUDENTS WIN AWARDS AND ENJOY FIELD TRIP
Fifteen students from Maharishi School went on an Art field trip on Tuesday this week. In the morning they attended the SE Iowa Superconference Art Show and Competition. In the afternoon they visited the University of Iowa Art Museum.
The students, who had taken sculpture or photography as an elective last quarter, had all submitted artwork for display at the Superconference show. In the morning the students participated in workshops, e.g. stained glass making, website design, pastel or charcoal drawing, and printmaking. In the afternoon the curator of the UI Art Museum gave them a private tour of the museum.

The winners and more will be in the MSAE Annual Art and Photography Show on the May 5th Artwalk at Central Park Furnishings Futon Store on the square.
UPPER SCHOOL PARENTS NIGHT
The Upper School Parents Night scheduled for March 30 was postponed due to a bad weather advisory. It will now take place on Monday, April 10, at 7:45 p.m. in the Henry Ogden Clark Auditorium. Please come and pick up your child’s grade card that night.
MIDDLE SCHOOL PARENT/TEACHER CONFERENCES
Middle School parent conferences will take place on Friday, April 14 in the Henry Ogden Clark Auditorium. Conferences are by appointment, so parents are invited to call the Girls School office (472-9400, ext. 3) after Spring break to schedule appointments with your child’s teachers. Grade cards will be available for pick-up in the auditorium that day. Please remember that Middle School students will not have classes that day.
